1. CANCELLATION POLICY

The Client/Student may cancel tuition/lessons by giving at least 24 hours prior notice to the Tutor in which case no tuition fees will be incurred and the session will be re-scheduled. Lessons not attended by the student without giving 24 hours prior notice to the Tutor shall be charged at the full rate.

LATE ARRIVAL

Fees are calculated according to the times stipulated in the schedule and no adjustment shall be made for time lost because of late arrival by the Student. Students who arrive late will only be tutored for the remainder of the scheduled session. There will be no prolonged sessions.

Any lost time because of the late arrival of the Tutor shall be compensated for by extending a lesson by mutual agreement and by such amount of time that was lost.

NO-SHOW POLICY

Students who are not present at the pre-determined location when Tutor arrives or who are more than 15 minutes late are considered no-shows. If the Student is a no-show, he or she is still responsible for payment for the tutoring session.  No discount or refunds shall be given in respect of lessons not attended by the Student.

Pay-per-session clients must present payment for the session in which he or she was a no-show and the following session in order for tutoring to continue.

2. BOOKINGS POLICY

Payment shall be made at least 72 hours before the start of a tutoring session OR Payment shall be made weekly/monthly in advance. Sessions are not booked unless the tutor has agreed on the time and date and payment has been made.

3. PRIVACY AND SOCIAL MEDIA POLICY

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you express an interest in our services.

The personal information we collect may include the following:

  •  Name(s) of Children

  •  Phone numbers

  •  Email address

  •  Home Address

WHEN AND WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

We may need to share information with other tutors when organising bookings.

ADVERTISING AND SOCIAL MEDIA

 We may take pictures during sessions which are used for advertising on our Facebook Page, website, or other social media platforms. We always ask for parental permission before using pictures of students.

4. STUDENT EXPECTATIONS

Tutoring services often have certain guidelines and expectations for behavior in place to ensure a productive learning environment for both the student and the tutor. If a child's behavior becomes consistently disruptive, disrespectful, or poses a significant challenge to the tutoring sessions, the tutoring session may end early or tutoring may be suspended temporarily or permanently if it doesn’t work for the child and tutor.

It is important to note that cancelling or suspending tutoring due to behavioral issues is typically a last resort and a decision made after careful consideration. Tutoring services generally aim to provide a supportive and conducive learning environment, but they also have a responsibility to ensure the well-being and effectiveness of the sessions for both the student and the tutor.
